Meet Barbara Pluth, Tasting Room Manager and Richard Jensen, Wine Educator of Ventana Vineyards
Grape tasting for breakfast! Spend the morning learning about wine. You will learn:

~ What raw wine grapes taste like
~ The proper steps to tasting wine
~ What wine flaws to look for
~ How to tell if a wine is young or aged
~ Why it's important to swirl your glass (it's not just too look cool!)
~ How to identify acid levels, sugar level, alcohol levels and tannin levels by taste
~ How to identify fruit, wood and earth aromas, as well as flaws, by nose and/or mouth
~ Grape characteristics
~ The differences between Old World and New World wines

Classes take place at Kitchen Studio 1096 Canyon Del Rey Blvd. in Seaside.
